Johannes is a director of photography from the "Schwabenlaendle." A few years ago, he swapped his beloved Kaesspaetzle for a move across the country in exchange for Berlin Currywurst. Now, since 2024, he has been living in Zurich, where – unsurprisingly – he has found his new favourite cheese: Gruyere.

Alongside his great passion for cheese, he deepened his fascination with motion pictures while studying for a Master's degree in cinematography at ZHdK in Switzerland.

Today, Johannes shoots advertisements, music videos and feature films between Zurich and Berlin, always drawn to projects where the visual language carries as much weight as the story itself. With a meticulous eye for colour theory, lighting and the finer details, he creates images that don't just look good, but evoke emotion and bring the story to life.

Bridging academic depth with extensive on-set experience, Johannes combines technical precision with a collaborative mindset, working closely with directors to translate complex concepts into striking visual realities.
